Are you a football fan?

I am sure that a number of people have been waiting impatiently for the beginning of football season. It might be that you like college football, professional football, or the games played at the local high school stadium which are filled with school spirit, bands playing and the culinary delight offerings of corndogs, hot dogs, cheesy nachos and chili cheese fries. In our small-town Friday night brings us out to the football stadium to cheer on our local team, the Fredericksburg Battlin’ Billies. Our mascot is an Angora billy goat. We have season tickets, and the good seats have been held by the same families for generations. I now attend games with my granddaughter and grown children and love watching this 9-year-old cheer for the team with enthusiastic fervor…Go Fredericksburg, Go Billies!
