Bracing for the storm

Winter storm Fern is expected to hit the country this coming weekend with snow, sleet, freezing rain, and plain ordinary rain. Depending on your location you might receive all, some, or none of these forms of precipitation. Here in the Texas Hill Country where we are, we could get some of all of it, but most likely the sleet and freezing rain. That means we have to start prepping now and make sure water lines are freeze-proofed, generators are full of fuel, and that we have adequate food for our ranch livestock in addition to prepping our business buildings. The good thing is that we have a plan. As we prep for this storm and the possibility of temperatures in the teens, I am reminded of how it is good to have a plan in life, something to fall back on in a storm. In life we all experience storms of one kind or another that we will have to weather, having a plan gets us through to the other side when the sun will shine again. Stay warm, y’all!
