Hiding Christmas Presents

Do you have memories of searching high and low to try to find where your parents had hidden your Christmas presents? I remember my mom catching me looking in the top of her closet while standing on the kitchen step stool. I learned quickly that it was not a good thing! Fast forward to being a parent myself…I am really good at shopping early for gifts throughout the year, but I do not like to wrap the presents, so I hide them. Everywhere! Problem is, I often forget where I’ve hidden them. When we moved to Fredericksburg I found presents hidden in my closet from when my children were very small, so I saved them for grandchildren I did not have. These days technology helps me out. I leave an alert with “Alexa” to remind me where I have stashed the presents and, more importantly, to get cracking with my wrapping!
