Oompah, Schnitzel, Pretzels and Beer…it’s Oktoberfest!

Each year on the first weekend of October Fredericksburg, TX celebrates its German heritage with an Oktoberfest celebration that draws thousands of visitors to our small town. From Friday until Sunday we will polka, listen to oompah bands, eat schnitzel, giant pretzels, wurst, rotkohl, kartoffel salat, and my favorite Apfelstrudel while dressed in our Bavarian dirndls and lederhosen. All ages get in on the fun and you can find them all on the dance floor enjoying a waltz, a polka, schottische and on occasion the Chicken Dance! Come and join the fun. Wilkommen!
