Thanksgiving Wishes

Friends and family come together to celebrate Thanksgiving. Sometimes families travel to visit relatives, other times folks stay home to celebrate. No matter what tradition you follow food usually plays a big part. Our celebration lasts all day. We start off the morning with a family favorite, breakfast casserole and mimosas. Then we nosh on light snacks while we crowd in the kitchen cooking, laughing and sharing memories. In our family we fry our turkey rather than roast it, and serve sides of cornbread dressing, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, spinach Madeline, green bean casserole, fruit salad, and hot rolls. I like to plan the table décor and have my grandchildren help me set the table just as I remember helping my grandmama. Before we eat we take turns sharing what we are thankful for this past year, and what we are hopeful for in the year to come. Mostly the day is about family and being thankful for the many blessings in our lives. Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Fredericksburg Farms to you and yours!
