Next time you’re thinking of grilling burgers, try some lamb burgers! They’re mighty tasty and make an interesting departure from the same old burgers. For the optimum flavor, try some of the free-range lamb that’s being produced in the Hill Country – all natural, just like our products!

Makes 6 burgers.

2¼ pounds ground lamb
4 tablespoons Fredericksburg Farms Brown Mustard Basil Bread Dipping Mix
2 tablespoons dehydrated onions
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon sea salt or kosher salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Toasted onion burger buns
Fredericksburg Farms Garlic & Chile Mustard
Your choice of burger toppings

Place the lamb in a bowl and add the next five ingredients. Using a large wooden spoon, or your hands, mix the meat mixture thoroughly. Form into 6 (6-ounce) burger patties, patting them together tightly. Refrigerate, covered with plastic wrap, for an hour before grilling, or up to 8 hours.

Grill the burgers to the desired degree of doneness. Slather the toasted buns with the Garlic & Chile Mustard and pile on your choice of toppings. Chow down!
