Tender & delicious with a cornucopia of yummy veggies–Lainie’s Honey Red Lo Mein is truly comfort food fit for these cooler temps we’ve been enjoying. The fresh veggie flavors really came through and harmonized with the Honey Red and beef to make this dish something to add to your next meal!

Ingredients

1 14oz Can of bean sprouts
2 Carrots
4 Cloves of garlic minced
2 Cups of Broccoli
1 Large sweet onion
2 Cups of mushrooms
1Tablespoon of beef bouillon
1 Medium sized yellow squash
1 Medium sized zucchini
2 Cups of Honey Red grilling glaze
1/2 Cup brown sugar
2 Tbs of sesame oil
1/2 Cup of Cornstarch
1 lb thinly sliced beef
1 lb Lo Mein noodles or substitute with spaghetti noodles (cooked)
1/4 cup of water Vegetable oil

Instructions

Start off by preparing your veggies Cut onion (Large dice) set aside Peel carrots and medium slice carrots and mushrooms Cut broccoli in to medium florets Take zucchini and yellow squash cut into half moon about 1/4 inch thick In a Large deep sauce pan or large Wok Add sesame oil and get nice and hot add all veggies sauté for 5 min stirring frequently Add water and cover stirring every 5 min until veggies are tender . In a bowl add honey red grilling glaze, brown sugar, juice off of bean sprout can, and 1 Tbs of cornstarch mix well and add to veggies pulse bean sprouts cover and cook for 5min set aside off heat. Salt and pepper to taste In a Large mixing bowl take beef and season with salt and pepper and a little bit of garlic powder mix until well combined take the rest of cornstarch and make sure all beef is well coated. In a medium pot add olive oil or vegetable oil 1 inch deep ounce hot add beef cook until slightly golden p.s don’t cook to long or beef will be tough Set beef on paper towel to drip and then add to stir fry mixture. Mix noodles with stir fry mixture and your ready to eat .
