3rd PLaceFan FavoriteFredericksburg's own West End Pizza Company won both 3rd place and fan favorite awards for their entry Orange Chipotle Chicken Pizza made using Orange Chipotle Grilling Glaze.


Canola oil, for frying breaded chicken
12 inch pizza crust
5 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
8 oz chicken breast, diced
¼ tsp salt
4 oz Fredericksburg Farms Orange Chipotle Grilling Glaze
½ cup all-purpose flour
½ corn starch
2 eggs
1 tbsp minced ginger, optional
Chives, as garnish


Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Roll dough to 12 inches and add a thin layer of Fredericksburg Farms Orange Chipotle Grilling Glaze to the pizza dough along with 4 oz shredded mozzarella cheese. Bake on heated pizza stove or pan for 10 minutes or until the pizza crust is cooked to your liking. If using a pre-cooked crust, cook until the cheese is melted.

Combine flour and cornstarch in bowl. In a separate bowl, gently beat eggs. Sprinkle the chicken with salt. Place diced chicken in eggs to coat and then toss in the flour/cornstarch mixture until coated. Fry breaded chicken in small batches, at 350 degrees for 2-3 minutes until chicken reaches 165 degrees and breading is crispy.

Heat the Fredericksburg Farms Orange Chipotle Grilling Glaze with minced ginger a few minutes on medium-high heat to develop the ginger. The ginger adds more Asian flavor to the dish, but you may omit. Toss the chicken pieces in the glaze until well coated.

Add the chicken to the top of the cooked pizza and drizzle the pizza with a glaze. Garnish with Chives, if desired.

Devour immediately!
