Bought a jar of this while on a business trip to San Antonio for my son. He loved it so happy to find I could order it by mail.
I love this salsa. Just the right mix of sweet and heat. If you like a very hot salsa, this is the best one out there. Fredericksburg Farms customer service is also incredible. When I received my order, the salsa was missing. I called to let them know and they sent it to me immediately, along with an extra jar at no charge for my troubles.
This is the best HOT salsa I've ever tried. This is my 3rd 6 pack purchase. I mix it with my favorite mild and comes out just right.
Salsa Verde - 2nd jar much spicier than first. Excellent with the added "heat".
Caliente Salsa - A little thin, but tasty. Given the name and description, expected a much hotter salsa.
Comparing the two different salsas to one another is difficult as they each stand on their own. Both are good straight out of the jar with chips but prefer them at room temperature. Salsa Verde is very good with chicken, pork and shrimp. Caliente is best with beef.
Salsa Verde has become our "go to" green sauce.
Caliente, while good and will be ordered again in the future, does not replace Mrs. Renfro's Habanero Salsa as first choice salsa.
