When do you decorate for fall? In our lives, we decorate for Halloween on September 1st. I pull down the tubs and carefully lift out the ears of dried corn, paper mâché pumpkins, scarecrows. Jack o lanterns, bats, and ghosts interspersed with a witch or two flying on broomsticks. Then there is the cauldron that holds the candy corn that makes its appearance once a year. This often prompts discussions of who actually eats candy corn, either you like it or you hate it…there seems to be no middle ground. At Fredericksburg Farms, fall themed treats start appearing in our breakroom. Pumpkin cookies and pumpkin spiced latte…mmmm. All we need is some fall color, but for that we will likely have to wait until October. Hope the color comes with cooler weather.
