On the first day of Christmas...

On the first day of Christmas I decorate! Around Fredericksburg Farms we love our holiday decorations and everyone works together to transform our breakroom; lights, tree, and stockings all around the room. Wow, you too can set the stage for the holiday season by adding decorations to your surroundings at work and home. While decorating have a cup of spiced tea or hot apple cider and make a yummy appetizer to snack on. One of my favorites is a smear of goat cheese or cream cheese on a thin ginger snap cookie wit a drizzle of Fredericksburg Farms Apricot Ginger...

How Many for Thanksgiving?

How Many for Thanksgiving?

How many are coming for dinner? Are you kidding? Don’t you just love it when last minute unannounced guests arrive and you are already in the throes of cooking.? Veterans Day 2022

Reflections on Veterans Day 2022…many years have passed and many more wars have been fought since the 11th hour of the 11th month of the year 1918 when the armistice ending WWI was signed. Veterans Day remembrance programs will occur in many places throughout the United States on November 11. I plan to attend the program at our granddaughter’s primary school. These sweet children have been learning and practicing patriotic songs in preparation for their program which will honor all veterans from WWI on to today. To all of those who have served, we salute you and thank you for...

Really good camouflage is hard to find...

How can it be November already? The trees in the Texas hill country are changing color after a very long, hot, and dry summer and the mornings are now cool enough for jackets and sweaters. November brings deer hunting season in this part of Texas when camouflage becomes the design statement, even the supermarket checkers are sporting it. I have seen camouflage headbands, sunglasses, boxer shorts, and even slippers in addition to the expected shirts, pants, jackets and hats. That is some serious hunting if one is out in camo boxers and slippers! We think it calls for Fredericksburg Farms...
