What do you do with old greenhouses when you stop growing stuff in them? Here at Fredericksburg Farms we started as a plant nursery and after 21 years of being in the plant business, our old greenhouses are turning into more warehouse space to keep up with our expanding business and new products. Now we no longer want light-filled greenhouse space but solid roofed structures that keep the sun and heat out. It was a little sad at first to see the transition of the buildings from one use to another, remembering all of the years spent growing beautiful blooming plants. But business growth is also exciting and this change is a good thing. It even comes with a bonus, absolutely nothing has to be watered or pruned!
