Have you ever been to a splash pad? Fredericksburg has a new one right by the city pool and man oh man, would we have had fun as kids with something like that! Our grandkids love it and are used to such things. We had to get by with the sprinkler and a “Water Wiggle” spraying us down in the back yard on those hot summer afternoons. I can still smell the scent of water from a garden hose hitting the hot sidewalk. Splash pad or sprinkler, the main aim is to get wet and cool off on a hot summer day. In fact, just the other day I walked through the sprinkler on purpose and it felt really good, so good I may make it a regular thing!
